British by birth, I live in Frankfurt, Germany, where I work as a translator and writer. My writing revolves around the countries in which I live and those in which I have traveled. And by the idea that if you look at the words used to describe things for long enough you will find cracks in them. I hope that through these chinks a different meaning to those words and how they are used will appear. One that reveals their function in society today. Just as if you look at one culture through the eyes of an other you get a different perspective on its quirks and idiosyncrasies. The sole purpose of the writing: to encourage or provoke debate. Particularly on the global society in which we live and the changes it has brought with it to all our lives. In the hope that debate on it will enable us to identify its weaknesses and improve it make it a better place for those less advantaged than ourselves.
